Introduction

AS Watson Group has always been a keen supporter of local sports development and the community at large. We believe that sport is an excellent platform through which Hong Kong citizens can develop a more active lifestyle, and school is the best starting point. In parallel, with an ever-increasing number of talented student athletes emerging, these young people should be recognised and encouraged to pursue their interests and to develop potential.Having such belief in mind, “AS Watson Group Hong Kong Student Sports Awards” (HKSSA) was organised since 2005, with “Yes I can!” as the theme of HKSSA and also our expectation to help bringing a new generation with a positive attitude and healthy life. Over 14,000 students are honoured so far through HKSSA, every year one student is nominated each school, who exhibit outstanding performance or great potential, demonstrating passion and good conduct in sport.
